• Summit High School Football Field

• Games begin at 9:00 AM

• Teams: Summit County, Steamboat Springs, Salida, Fairplay, Aspen, and other mountain communities across Colorado.

The goal for Year One is simple: give kids more games, more reps, and the chance to compete against teams they do not normally see during their local season.

There is no team entry fee and no admission fee for families.

 

FORMAT

• 5v5 flag football

• Coed divisions

• NFL FLAG rules used as the general baseline

• Divisions centered around 2nd/3rd Grade and 4th/5th Grade

• Some flexibility for 1st and 6th grade players based on team rosters

• Multiple games guaranteed for every team

• Round robin style play followed by championship games when team numbers allow

• Final divisions will be adjusted based on the teams and rosters that register

Because mountain leagues organize players differently by age and grade, we will stay flexible when building divisions and work to create the most competitive and balanced matchups possible.

Final divisions, game schedules, field assignments, and check in details will be shared after teams are confirmed.

 

PARKING

Free parking will be available in the main Summit High School parking lot next to the football field.

 

FOOD

At least one food truck is expected to be on site during the tournament.

Families are also welcome to bring their own food, snacks, water, and drinks for the day.

 

WHAT TO BRING

Players should bring:

• Cleats or athletic shoes•

• Water bottle

• Athletic clothing

• Warm layers

• Jacket or rain shell

• Anything else needed for a full day outside in Summit County

 

WEATHER

October weather in Summit County can change quickly.

We plan to play through normal fall mountain conditions, including cooler temperatures and light precipitation. Any major weather related changes will be communicated directly to coaches and families.

Please come prepared for sun, wind, cold, and changing conditions throughout the day.
