How the League Works:
-
Summit FLAG is a coaching-focused flag football league built to help kids learn the game, build confidence, and fall in love with football.
-
This first season will run as one connected academy-style league with two main groups:
-
Rookie Group: ages 6 to 8
-
Junior Group: ages 9 to 11
-
-
Within each group, we’ll create teams based on final enrollment. Players may shift groups or teams when appropriate based on skill, size, confidence, and overall fit.
-
This format helps us create:
-
More touches
-
Better coaching groups
-
Safer matchups
-
Balanced games
-
More skill development
-
A fun first flag football experience
-
What Players Will Learn:
Players will work on real flag football skills, including:
-
Route running
-
Catching and hand-eye coordination
-
Throwing mechanics
-
Flag pulling
-
Coverage and defensive positioning
-
Body movement and footwork
-
Learning plays
-
Spacing and teamwork
-
Game awareness
-
Confidence and sportsmanship
We want players to learn all parts of the game, not just one position.
Practice Format:
Tuesday nights will usually be our main practice nights.
Practices will include:
-
Warmup and movement work
-
Skill stations and drills
-
Offensive and defensive concepts
-
Routes, coverage, throwing, catching, and flag pulling
-

-
Scrimmage reps to apply what players learned
We may also use some Tuesday nights for official game reps when needed because of weather, attendance, balanced matchups, or family availability.
Game Night Format:
Thursday nights will be our primary refereed games at Summit Middle School.
Each game block will include:
-
Warmup
-
Team assignments
-
Organized games
-
Refereed gameplay
-
A real game night fee
Teams may adjust from week to week so games stay balanced and players compete at the right level.
Coaching That Parents Can Trust:
Players will work directly with Corbin, Cam, and other experienced youth coaches.
Between our years of youth work, camp leadership, and sports coaching, our goal is to make sure every kid has an incredible experience, builds confidence, learns the game, and feels excited to keep playing.
We coach character, not just skills.
Our coaching focus includes:
-
Positive development
-
Sportsmanship
-
Confidence
-
Teamwork
-
Fair playing opportunities

Safe and supportive instruction
-
Helping kids enjoy the game
